MEET JaaLa: An Island Peach with an Atlanta Soul.
Born in the Virgin Islands and raised in Atlanta, JaaLa brings two worlds together through her music. A singer-songwriter, guitarist, mother, and high school choral director, JaaLa has built her life around creativity, connection, and inspiring others.
Influenced by artists like Brandy, India Arie, and Sara Bareilles, her sound blends soulful R&B, acoustic melodies, and honest storytelling.
From auditioning for The Voice to joining Atlanta-based record label Radar Live, JaaLa continues to make her mark on the city's music scene. Her 2025 single, I AM FREE, explores self-discovery, personal growth, and finding peace within yourself.
For JaaLa, music goes beyond performing. It's about creating moments that connect people, encourage individuality, and remind us of the power of being ourselves. Born in the islands. Raised in Atlanta. Creating something entirely her own.
WHAT MAKES JAALA LESS ORDINARY?
JaaLa doesn't fit into just one category, and that's exactly what makes her interesting.
She's an educator, a mother, a songwriter, and an artist who brings her Caribbean roots and Atlanta upbringing into everything she creates. Her music isn't about following a formula. It's about telling real stories, celebrating individuality, and connecting with people through sound.
